Citizens Against Criminalization
Rhode Island stands on the precipice of a public
policy disaster. With the legislature and the executive branch stymied
by a collapsing economy, the state house has turned towards a
convenient scapegoat in order to be able to claim 'victory' for the
session. A 'perfect storm' of right-wing anti-sex politics,
misapplied
theology, and bad press have blurred the lines between one of Rhode
Island's few successful policies and a failed national model.
This site is a collaborative (and very new) effort
to connect the public at large to information about sex work in Rhode
Island. We are not 'sex radicals' , nor are any of us connected to the
industry in any way. We welcome input, suggestions, and are willing to
explain the issue in-depth to anyone who wants to find out more about
the quiet majority's opinion on this issue.
